Some people think cold emailing does not work, while some others believe that cold emailing is the real deal. Nonetheless, Cold emailing is one of the ways by which salespersons get more reach and sell more.


What is Cold emailing?

Cold emailing is sending emails to people you have never had contact with. Simply put: You don't know them and they don't know you.


In Cold emailing, you send an email to someone you don't know or have never met - There is no record of contact. Will that even work? Why will anybody choose this?


Why Cold emailing?

Like I told you earlier, it is mostly done by salespersons, business owners, and whoever needs sales and/or traffic. (Anyone that needs sales or traffic must give something in exchange).


Cold emailing helps you get more reach. If you must unlock the next level of your sales, traffic, or revenue, you must do something. Perhaps, send some cold emails.


The Big Question. Does Cold emailing work?

Well, Yes and No. Let me start with No. Why would Cold emailing work? You don't take any permission from the recipient; You don't know the recipient personally; You have never met! Believe me, it should not work.


For Cold emailing to work, you have to do the work. You have to do some research on your prospects. You have to do some things to make it work. Otherwise, sending a cold email is a waste of time and other resources.


When you don't put in the right work, your mails will most likely go down the spam folder of the recipient. While it's there, the recipient rarely checks it. It's a waste of time. Cold emailing can only work when you use the right methods and techniques. Let me share with you some useful tips.


Cold emailing that works

1. Know your prospect - Do your research. Don't barge into anybody's email randomly. Good research will take you to the right prospects.


2. Draw attention - The subject of your mail must draw the recipient's attention. This will keep them at it.


3. Give value - Give them something valuable. You need them to buy and add to your traffic. You must give them something valuable in exchange.


4. Earn their trust - Your prospect must have a reason to believe whatever value you are giving. Otherwise, they will take you as a scammer.


5. Strike a connection - You have never met the person. So need to have something that connects you two. Provide a solution to their problems; let them connect with you, and let them feel good.


6. Be human - Don't be pushy or salesy.
