Why I Became a Certified AI Strategist on Top of Being an OBM

When I started getting more questions about AI from the coaches I work with, I realised I had two options. I could refer them elsewhere, or I could learn it properly. The second option felt more aligned with what I actually do, which is help coaches build businesses that run well and keep running well as things change. AI is not a trend that is going to go away. It is part of how operational excellence looks in 2025 and beyond.

What Prompted the Decision

Coaching businesses started asking me about AI integration in the context of operations. Could they automate parts of their client onboarding? Could AI help with content repurposing? Was there a way to use it for their admin without losing the personal feel of their brand? These were the right questions, but I was not equipped to answer them with the depth they deserved.

I wanted to be able to give coaches real, specific, responsible guidance. Not just point them toward popular tools, but help them think through what actually made sense for their specific business.

What the Training Covered

The Certified AI Strategist programme is not a general AI overview. It covers the strategic application of AI in business, including how to assess readiness, how to identify genuine use cases, how to build AI into existing workflows, and how to think about the ethical and practical considerations that come with using AI in a client-facing business. It also covers how to maintain AI implementations so they continue to work as the business evolves.

What It Changes About How I Work

Having both credentials means I can approach operational support in a way that accounts for the current landscape of tools and technology, not just traditional systems and processes. When I look at a coaching business now, I am assessing it through two lenses: the operational foundation, and the AI opportunity. Often those two things are deeply connected.

A business that has strong operations is usually more ready for AI integration. And a business that integrates AI thoughtfully usually ends up with stronger operations as a result.

What This Means for Coaches Working With Me

If you work with me, you get the benefit of both. You are not talking to someone who has to send you to a separate AI consultant when the conversation goes in that direction. That combination is what makes the support more joined up and ultimately more useful.

If you want to explore what that kind of combined support could look like for your business, find out more about working with me here.
